Taking A Stand Against Bullying
Poetry writing response
In the shadows, a bully’s words did sting, A cruel voice that tried to clip my wings. But I refused to let the darkness win, For within me, a fire would begin.
With every insult hurled my way, I stood tall, refusing to sway. For deep inside, a spirit arose, A determination that nobody knows.
With ink as my sword and paper my shield, I turned their words into a power to wield. Each verse I wrote, a testament strong, A battle cry against all that was wrong.
Their taunts and jeers became my fuel, To rise above, to break the cruel. For bullies thrive on weakness and fear, But I found my strength when they drew near.
I sought solace in the words I penned, A sanctuary where my heart could mend. And slowly, oh so slowly, I found, The power within to turn it all around.
With empathy and kindness as my guide, I learned to see through their hurtful pride. For bullies, too, are lost souls in need, Blinded by anger, consumed by greed.
So I held my head high, with empathy strong, For in my heart, forgiveness belonged. No longer a victim, I reclaimed my voice, A beacon of hope, a symbol of choice.
Bullies may try to break us apart, But their darkness can’t extinguish our heart. We rise above, shining bright and true, For in the face of adversity, we grew.
So to all who have felt the bully’s sting, Know you’re not alone, let your spirit sing. Stand tall, be brave, and together we’ll find, The strength to overcome, leaving no one behind.
Remember, you have the power to rise above bullying and find your voice. Seek support from friends, family, or professionals who can help you through difficult times
