Taking a Micro Sabbatical: A Break from Microcosm to Finish My Novel
I love you all, but itās time for a break.
Hey there, fellow creative souls!
Itās time for some exciting news, or rather, a confession.
After much contemplation, Iāve decided to take a little break from our beloved publication, āMicrocosm.ā
Yes, you heard it right ā Iām going on a Micro Sabbatical.
Donāt worry, itās not a permanent farewell. Iāll be back before you know it, with my creative batteries recharged and a completed novel in hand!
Now, before you start throwing virtual tomatoes at me, let me explain why Iām hitting the pause button on āMicrocosm.ā
You see, there comes a time when even the most dedicated writers need a breather. And lately, Iāve found myself resisting and even dreading working on Microcosm.
Thatās a definite red flag.
After all, our after-hours creative projects should make us shout, āFuck yeah!ā not āOh no, not again!ā
So, Iāve decided to follow my gut and prioritize my novel for a while.
Trust me, it wasnāt an easy decision. āMicrocosmā has been my baby, my creative outlet, and a source of joy for many years.
But there are times when we need to shake things up, challenge ourselves, and explore new horizons.
With this Micro Sabbatical, Iām hitting the reset button, giving myself the permission to focus solely on my novel.
You know, the one Iāve been daydreaming about, plotting during meetings, and scribbling notes on napkins.
- Itās halfway done, you can follow it on Patreon in real-time or on Medium with a month lag or so.
- I need to schedule the last 23 chapters on Medium, and with the break from Microcosm, Iāll spend the editing and prompting time on that.
- I wonāt be posting any more themes, prompts, or scheduled content.
- I enjoyed the mini-course model and will likely continue with that when I get back. Or hybrid with some lighter more fun-focused prompts.
- Iāll be back before you even have a chance to miss me, ready to revive āMicrocosmā with renewed vigor and a fresh perspective.
So, my dear readers, I ask for your understanding and support during this time. I hope youāll stick around, eagerly waiting for my triumphant return.
In the meantime, keep those creative juices flowing, explore new realms of inspiration, and donāt forget to enjoy the journey.
After all, life is too short to resist or dread the things we love. Letās make every creative pursuit a resounding āFuck yeah!ā
Until we meet again, my friends!
Yours in creativity,
