Take Leaps of Faith in Your Writing
Let your words lead. Everything else will follow.

Consistency may NOT be the only key needed to the success door[Medium].
This article unveils the paths to get to the ultimate door, the setbacks en route, and my personal experience with the journey.
3 Popular beliefs about the Privileged Door:
#1: The door becomes visible after publishing a minimum of 150 quality articles. Many publications welcome new writers with open arms.
#2: The viral stories and the chosen ones for further distribution may hold free passes to the door.
#3. Holding the “Top writer[TW]” Tag lets others know you were so close to knocking on the door once. The more TW tags, the more knocks attempted. But exactly, how many articles to write with the same tags to reach the TW status? No answer yet!
Beware of the obstacles along the way:
#1. The stumbling blocks to the Special door are not limited to the mystery algorithm or new upcoming updates on the platform.
#2. The debatable stories about earnings from posting everyday stories and occasional writers with passive income buildup might leave you clueless!
#3. The challenging part that comes after publishing is getting more eyes[views] and minds[member reading time] on the stories.
How would we ever know the taste of our freshly baked pumpkin pie if nobody ever got a chance to taste it?!
#4. The stunning posts about stats and earnings from other writers may leave your mouth wide open. Watch out! You may have just been forced a piece of pie onto it!
#5. Reading the farewell from long-term members and Big publications closing down will only block our view of the already invisible door.
#6. My favorite content is the hypothesis around: The New Emerging Writers’ articles about writing. Well, the answer lies in the question.
#7. The stories speculating around the door dissolving itself should strictly hold the tags: Fiction and Humor.
How surprises unfolded when I quit playing by the rules:
I joined medium in mid-2020 and was not really active until Aug 2021.
What changed was reading this article by Tim Denning where he spreads hope about pursuing writing while holding a full-time job.
I started to write again. I read more stories from the feed that made me believe I need to write so much more too soon. The pressure was building up!
The focus on the numbers was limiting my performance, sucking every last ounce of fun from it. Writing became a stressful task!
I forgot why I started writing in the first place and became a finger[s] puppet.
I took the leap of faith in my writing to unlearn and relearn everything on Medium.
First, I freed my caged thoughts. Then, I became free.
I started building a community of like-minded souls to have meaningful relationships based on love, trust, and support. Goodbye, Numbers!
My heart overflows with love and gratitude to know the impact my words have on others and vice versa. I like being on this platform connecting with people I never knew existed.
I write about Life, Love, and everything else in between. I love to share the unique life experiences that constantly shape me to become a tad better, braver, and a beautiful person than I was yesterday!
I will continue to share my delicacies and spread the flavor in my words to satiate souls. Only this time, I am so determined to enjoy the journey than the destination.
Writing with brutal honesty, authenticity, and good intentions frees me from the monotony of everyday living. At the finish line of every story, I feel re-energized and rejuvenated.
Writing is the painting of the voice -Voltaire.
Final Takeaways:
Write for Yourself. Not for the platform or the audience or anything else.
Fuel your writing with inspiration from People, Nature, or things around you.
On the doomsday, even when the door may dissolve, you would have finished building your own!
And that door, my friend, will be forever yours to keep. And don’t forget to leave it unlocked!
That will also be the door to limitless possibilities!
