The author appeals to the reader's empathy and understanding, emphasizing the importance of self-respect and the courage to stand against the dehumanizing effects of a judgmental society.

Opinions

  • The author expresses a deep sense of insecurity and a lack of self-esteem, which is exacerbated by societal expectations and the actions of others.
  • There is a critical view of how people-pleasing behaviors, such as those of an Echoist, can lead to a loss of self and identity.

Human Poems

Take every inch of me and never return

Take and take, give me none, for everything that I owe is a story left undone

Tremors are the din, all things turn by the tide spins, and the phoney masks are getting unfurled, rolling themselves little, one item at a time. Do you see the body and the mind? I have wrapped my being with sugar syrup coating, deluded and tangibly obsolete to the other’s bitterness.

Am I cold or soft? Supple in the eyes and tunes of many, for everyone sees and slowly feels, the attitudes change, the men take it easy! A being on the other side, or a slave wanting attention, to gain the fruition from my soul that is entrapped in the intelligent sense of a veiled intention.

Powering bogus platitudes, germinating dubious behaviours of people, parents, siblings and children. Giving them hope while they suck mine. Dismantling my already shattering confidence, piece by piece, block by block. In flock the numbers started pinning me down, I took off my brown gown, leaving everything exposed trusting everyone, and everything. Every word, chatter and whisper.

But will I ever be respected in a world of multiple dichotomies, polarities, and two-faced judgements? Bullying was an atrocity, letting yourself be bullied is a monstrosity. Ignoring everything is a draconian paucity, a hypocrisy of your sense of self, lost in the wailing sounds of losing everyday your own freakishly ignored ravaged destroyed identity.

Cosmic Context: This poem comes from a place of insecurity, lack of self-esteem and letting others have a free run on your sense of self. It talks about bullying, being a people-pleasing Echoist and many things that show us as shattered men and women waiting for approved validities of their relationships. The piece concentrates on how even after losing yourself getting eroded one moment/one statement/one appreciation at a time you have lost yourself expecting the evil of others to tame down. After all that was an illusion at the end of it all, you are still feeling the same rejection and others wanting to disregard and discredit you making you feel vulnerable to lose more of what your heart minutely contains.
