Take Care of the One That Will Be There
We learn about everything and everyone yet know little about ourselves
The moment ended with your birth. You have breathed ever since. Each moment, a person came, some remained. Others are gone, you arrived in place and left.
From your mother, to the random strangers all left. You remain with yourself, with who there is. You were taught about Archimedes, Aristotle, Buddha, and you learned it all, yet few talked about you, and it was alright you thought.
You remember all you met, and all you were taught. Your memory is fresh like the flower in your yard. Yet, with little care, for this creature who did all for you. Stop wandering, for the sake of the world, wonder about yourself.
That is the one that has been with you from your first breath, and will remain now to think how you can make the self feel better. Remember your mother, friends cared for you and you felt good. You are the longest lasting friend you have, take good care of yourself.
That’s the one that will be there, even when you’re speechless and breathe your last word.
Thank you, dear reader, and thanks to Denise Larkin for bringing it to you.
