I know how to cure it, Just a few short steps To alleviate this pain. Moving helps, submersion Delivers the remedy As I hold my breath and the blood starts flowing.

I’m too lazy to help myself, Hours pass with the same Excuses holding me in This self-inflicted state.

I don’t feel sorry for myself, I would rather eat and drink, Work on some poetry I just can’t admit it to myself I don’t really fancy it, it’s like sinning. I’m putting it off until the last moments of self-loathing.

When I finally Take the plunge I wonder; Why on earth did it take so long? There must be a loose connection somewhere.

Thank you, Dr Mehmet Yildiz and the ILLUMINATION-Curated team for giving my words a platform. Thank you all for reading and your precious time. Always. J. 🙏
