Sweets Are My Crutch... or Is It?
GiaB prompt#1 Confectionery

I eat mostly when I am happy, the sweet treats of divine delicacies of every flavor, season, and kind, are my preferred treat.
For when I am joyfully contemplative, I eat any red or dark berries of various kinds (a fruit tart is my light, yet, guilty pleasure).
For feelings of intense passion, and of the ravenous, I tend to sink into the tropical and sweet fruits of summer (a passion fruit mousse, is one of my favorites).
When happy memories of nostalgia sweep-in, the simplest of delights satiate my appetite (Flan, Portuguese style, to be precise).
Now and then, when elation hits me, for the many milestones of life, I am giddy with the confectionery of dark and milky chocolates of every kind; (“Brigadeiro” truffle inspired chocolate fudge balls, are the most decadent I have ever had).
When hilarious encounters transpire, I cannot deny the flavorful mix of pastry confectioneries (a thousand leaf cake — mille-feuilles or Beignets for something simple and sugary).
Laughing until my stomach hurts and I am in tears, I am in the mood for something soft and chewy in my mouth (taffy and licorices, sometimes the fun Gelatin of childhood years, or a Cheesecake; yes, that never fails).
The feeling of gratitude, that comes from the inside out, this needs no outer confectionery, only the company of the sweetest friends and family members; my daughters, my sisters, my best friends, my chosen path; all represent a sweetness beyond the aforementioned.
What are the sweets and the sweet ones in your life?

P.S. No one is the “feelings of intense passion, and of the ravenous” just my chosen path, as a: teacher, life-long learner, and writer. I am ravenous for knowledge and passionate about my path. How about you? What are you passionate about and what sets your ravenous hunger?
Thank you @alicetoneatto for inviting me, this was a fun distraction from the ho-hum of everyday life.
Thanks, Jay for the great editing and for the neat tool. I appreciate the gracious assistance! : )
