Abstract

pes, from sweet to sour and anything in between. Sticking to my teeth or on my gums, I tried to get through that bag as fast as I could as I stood outside that sweet shop with my friends. On my way to and from school, I would peer through the window at those jars full of tempting treats, my palm itching to spend the money I held. I apologise, mum and dad, for spending your money to treat mysel

“Sweet Shop” | © Design by Kiran Kumar

Wide-eyed and mouth salivating How, as a child, I loved those bags of sweets, all different colours and shapes, from sweet to sour and anything in between. Sticking to my teeth or on my gums, I tried to get through that bag as fast as I could as I stood outside that sweet shop with my friends. On my way to and from school, I would peer through the window at those jars full of tempting treats, my palm itching to spend the money I held. I apologise, mum and dad, for spending your money to treat myself. And now, when I look back at those times, nostalgia sweeps in memories of those days that were so simple and sweet.
