Suspicious Roommate Claims Woman Vanished From Music Festival Though There’s No Proof She Was There
Kristyn Richerson’s phone records suggest she never made it to Rocklahoma, and no one else besides her roommate saw her there.

Kristyn Sue Richerson was a 51-year-old Native American woman from Muskogee, Oklahoma. A music lover and talented drummer, she was known as Krash and had a Stevie Nicks tattoo on her right calf.
On May 25, 2018, Kristyn packed her sleeping bag and tent and left for Rocklahoma, a music festival in Pryor. She was excited to see her favorite band, Halestorm, but there is no evidence that she made it to the concert.
Only on July 6 was she reported missing to authorities after her sister, Robin Brown, realized she hadn’t been to her home on the 1300 block of Houston Street since leaving for the hour-long trip to Rocklahoma.

It is uncharacteristic of Kristyn to be out of touch with her loved ones, and Robin says she wouldn’t have left her dogs behind,
“She loved her dogs, and she had my mom’s ashes and if she was going to leave, she would have taken all those items with her. She wouldn’t just up and leave and her cell phone and her debit cards, they were all found here at this residence.”
Kristyn lived with two roommates, Carl Bryce and Cody Ray Campbell.
When questioned by investigators, Carl claimed he went to Rocklahoma with Kristyn and that the last time he saw her was when she left with an unknown woman. However, Kristyn’s phone records suggest she never left Muskogee, and no one can verify that she was at the festival.
Furthermore, Carl used the missing woman’s Oklahoma Access Card, and he and Cody sold or gave away some of her belongings.
Both men were temporarily detained as material witnesses. Cody was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and was sentenced to five years in prison.
During the investigation, police received a tip from a “subject close to the case” that claimed Carl had stabbed Kristyn to death. While talking to him at the house, officers noticed a pile of dirt in the corner of the backyard and an odor of decomposition. The residence was searched, but there were no clues to Kristyn’s whereabouts.
The missing woman’s loved ones do not believe she is alive and that someone she knows is involved in her disappearance. Her close friend, Lynn Martinez, did not provide names but stated,
“To be honest, I believe her kindness killed her. She gave somebody a place to live till he got back up on his feet. I believe that’s what did her in.”
There are people of interest in the case, but investigators do not have enough evidence to charge anyone. They have urged people to come forward with information, as they have pursued all available leads. Lynn wants closure so she can put her friend to rest,
“If she died first, she wanted her ashes to be put in there in the same urn as her mother’s. And I made her that promise that I would do that.”
