Suspended in the Moment
Weird cravings- prompt
Sometimes an urgent need rises from beneath your skin.
The prickling sensation awakens you at moonrise propels you from your bed and walks you across
the cool moist sand down wooden planks to the end of the dock where you step off.
Suspended in the moment between dropping and rising to the surface you make your choice.
If you enjoyed this poem, have a look at my book, We Swallow Light. It’s an exploration of events in a past life and a refreshing take on overcoming pain and the joy of finding love.
thanks for mentioning me in this prompt, Jennifer McDougall
