Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le

Something in My Heart! There’s Something You Should Know!

For three days after watching this movie, I couldn’t stop singing this song, or rather, humming the tune.

I remember the first time I ever heard Michel’le sing. It was heavenly. She has an incredible singing voice and the music she made was magical. I think many people who heard her sing though, were stunned by what she sounded like when they first heard her speak. I know I was.

I thought it was some kind of joke or maybe a publicity stunt. She sings like an angel. But when she speaks, she sounds like a church mouse — if a church mouse could speak. I won’t bore you with a link, but go ahead, search for an interview with Michel’le. There are plenty available online.

But the point to this story isn’t what she sounds like. This story is about the abuse she took at the hands of both her lovers and children’s fathers, Dr. Dre and Sugh Knight.

I’ve sent you the free link. Please, watch it for yourself and let me know if the subtitle to this article and the same name of her song moves you in a similar fashion.
