Surveillance
A Poem

Taking insights from a flashing horizon you scan the traffic flowing just beneath you Watching has failed you in all the ways you had tried to avoid : a pit for every step The cornered victims of romance & assertions stare from their worries their circumstances colouring the scene But pulled from the isolation of lonely reassurance the problems don’t suddenly become invisible The glaring sky both witness & judge wishing that every now & then it could blink
