Support the Writers that you Resonate with on Medium. Here’s Why and My List.

Medium is about embracing what’s good or works and eliminating what’s bad or doesn’t work for you. Always wanted to create a list like this but didn’t know where to start. Until I met Yohan J.

Last night, I received a comment from Yohan J. on one of my older post. While reading and replying to it had me rethink of my original intention of why I was sharing the progress. It was to solve my own problem of lack of traffic and visibility to my post and profile, which I was trying to solve a issue that all new Medium member has.

Sharing the progress in public is one of the best way for a new comer to break out of the existing, non/low traffic to their posts. (the best way to gain traction is actually admitting the issue of many and try solving it with your own creative and share the progress along with your audience.) You will get a result that is different but will be a meaningful extension of your current work. (even if everything went the wrong way, by showing good intention triggers readers of all phases of the growth path they are in)

Our conversation below:

I have form a list of writer at all phases in their growth path. Which I see that has a lot to offer in term of value and is interesting in their own way.

There is no order of the list in any way, just what comes up to my head while writing (recently engagement does come to play here) and the comment next to is just a bit of thoughts that sticks to my mind the most.

Cipher Max, the undercover Medium genie. (the master of highlights, almost every post I read has a highlights of his) Where I also learn the “mention” @ feature from. (this is a powerful tool use it wisely, if you want any of your followers(anyone) to know about a post that you feel they would be interested use the @ function, since Medium is not going to sent out any notification to them on your behalf, so you need to do it yourself)

Francisco Iglesias, was actually the earlier one that inspired me of a post like this one, which I gave it a try on my 12/15/23 post.

Martin Kessler, met him on X, where I see great potential in him. Which recently enter into the Medium game in January.

Carl Jeffers, an original influencer of my early phase of growth. (I’m sure many know him better than I do)

Denis Gorbunov, always helped with random questions that I had.

Godfrey The Great, is one if the first profile I met on X that is actually Medium focus, where there were many common ground and helped me stay focus indirectly.

John Pearce, After getting a bit of traction I met John, where he introduce a lot of great insights on Medium, since he read a ton on Medium that also helped me aware of other writers out there that are build something of their own like; Jan Sebastian 🖐👩‍🦰 and Susie Kearley’s posts.

Eduard Nicoara, on a mission to make his digital creative path work in the next 4 month or less. I see him focusing on X but I’m sure he’ll be back on Medium soon.

Lucian Ioan Chirilă, a father of 2 and love gaming and often infuse his writing with it. Which I can totally relate, as I was an ex-gamer myself and now father of 2 soon as well.

Ripton Green, use to interaction with their post often but due to the default image, I often miss or can’t recall what we talk about.

Arpan Kaur, I would call her a poet, love all of her poems that I have read. She comes by often to support in the background, which I do look at who claps because that is the only few data point I can see who is supporting and when the times comes it will reverse. And Medium partner program will open up for India soon.

Tina Here, I love her insights on Parenting and Motherhood, there is a lot of in-depth details that I learn and brings up new questions I have for myself with these topic as I read her posts.

DannyOnDemand, when I think about KDP, I think of him. We discuses on why KDP is more scalable than Medium and I told him why Carl Jeffers might be not just be the outlier but a new trend on Medium.

Jijo George, many kind words of thought and inspirtion that I need to explore into.

David J.H., if I would of start Medium 2 years ago, the topic I would be posting will most likely have a lot in common with his.

Scott Wood, always commenting and interaction with the posts, I need to tell him to remember to focus on his own craft more often.

Sam Krämer, Young, Fresh and Fit.

Seongwon, who I often engage with and recently spot that he is a great storyteller.

Serhii Kucherenko, also a great supporter and I hate that I can’t take out more time to read not just his post but the many of which who I engage with and of the followers too.

Below are the list that is the same importance but I just do not have time to list out all of them. But I’ll make sure to update this when I can.

This is the list from my following and followers, will add the rest later tonight.

I don’t know everyone well enough, but it doesn’t mean you are not worth a mention. Our Time is Limited but collective time and awareness will fill the gap to bridge the relation among the Medium network.
