Poem
Sunset
Silent Longing
Only a handful of Adam’s descendants feel happiness when the rain gently caresses the earth with its rhythmic drops.
For me, true happiness is felt when your smile adorns the twilight as it begins to fade.
You and the sunset, like an endless poem being composed.
You and the sunset, like verses that continue to unfold in the weave of life.
For me, you and the sunset are an everlasting source that flows in every letter etched with longing.
If my sunset hides behind gray clouds, send me a portrait of the sunset from your haven.
Those clouds, like shadows of sorrow amid the orange hues at the edge of the sky.
The wind plays like guitar strings, carrying a melody of longing that pierces the heart.
In the thick coat enveloping you, you feel warmth in the heart of darkness, shining gracefully with a crown of a hijab on your head.
Oh God, allow my longing to reach her.
Even when the night weaves darkness, my eyes cannot dim.
You appear so wild in the shadows, moaning in the emptiness of longing.
My hope is,
When the sunset arrives,
You stand by the window,
Awaiting my return with a warm smile and a cup of tea patiently waiting on the table.
This sunset is ours, a gift from the Universe.
Let’s be together, gazing at the sky with the same perspective,
Under a sky full of colors and stories,
Here where our emotions unite in an eternal vibration.
