Sunny the Sunflower — a tale of tall storytelling about the feelings of being a Sunflower in the UK during an exceptionally wet Summer 🌻🌧☔️

Sunny the Sunflower has grown very tall, he is very proud to have reached 9ft 7in! His knowledgeable human Gideon the Gardener, built a frame to help Sunny to maintain his strength and height.

Sunny is funking fed up of all this rain. He's fed up to the back fronds, having soggy petals and a damp, floppy stalk is not fun and very demoralising.

Worst of all he feels a bit loose in his soil, he is worried that he may "up root" at any moment!

During nightfall and right through to wee small hours, he has terrible nightmares that he will be washed away to Flower Heaven during the next downpour or that a gust of strong wind whips his Sunny face clean off!

During daylight hours, Sunny imagines this scenario, he worries how Gideon would be giddy with sadness and sheer horror should this fatal incident become a reality and he feels Gideon would never recover from seeing an empty bed or worse a stalk without a face!

Sunny is awaiting therapy to deal.with these intrusive and unwanted thoughts.

Gideon has no idea of the trauma Sunny is facing every minute of his plant life!
