Sun And Moon

A poem about wholeness

The sun, he is needed Said the peasants in the field But the moon, she is not And they cast her away

One perfect day Of sun and no darkness! Till all their plants — they melted In jealousy and hate

The moon, she is needed! They finally cried that day And a great wave destroyed them Save the few who wanted her to stay

The moon, she is savior! Said the peasants of the garden But the sun, destruction! And they cast him away

One perfect night Of unending passion! Till all their lovers starved In jealousy and hate

The sun, and the moon, together! They finally cried that day And a blast of light destroyed them Save the few who understood
