I’m guessing most medium readers — live north above the equator
And for many of you this time of year — the hot weather will arrive much later
But for us down here — the hot weather is here — a hot as hell heat wave
So to go outside in that hot dry air — you have to be mad or brave
The last two nights my human has slept — in the big room with the TV
He sleeps there where its much cooler for him — but its just not good for me
That big machine that cools the air — is known as the air conditioner
So he hangs in there — like a big polar bear — praising Santa and Hare Krishna
That air conditioner is noisy and scary — reminds me of an approaching storm
No that’s not for me — so I run under the bed - to where I feel safe and warm
Yes dear readers at night it’s been hot — and often well over 100 degrees
And covered in fur as a pussy cat — this heat makes one wish for a cool breeze
Thank heavens for the concept of impermanence — that nothing bad lasts for ever
The cooler days will come — I won’t feel so numb — and can think of ways to be clever
Be clever like my human Seaspray D — who can surf in the sea — his therapeutic devotion
Devotion to mother nature’s bubbles of love — that is his and my Indian Ocean
MeoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW for now
Until next time
