Summer Storm; a poem,

Photo by Felix Mittermeier on Unsplash

Last summer came and went, Took away the sun. I decided to replace it, Wanted a little fun.

Miss the sweetness of your kiss, The passion made me high, All was wonder and pure bliss, Till you finally said goodbye,

Wondering if I should have said something, Was there something that I missed, Things seemed simple and pure de-lightning, Our storm faded to a mist.

Bring back your rain, Let it fall, Let me drowned and forget it all, Bring back your storm, Let it rage, Only your love frees me from this cage.

Bliss-tering good love, euphoria, Give me more of that, Give me back the nights of our love, God knows I need them back.

Grip me, grab me, move me again, Hold me love me, made for sin, Endless good love, sweetness on my tongue Never wanting this to end.

Bring back your rain, Wash over me now, Soak me to the bone, Bring back your storm, Let it rage, Give you everything I own.

Why you have to go away, Find another love, When all the pieces seemed to fit, Baby, hand in glove.

I fit you, you fit me, What more could you want, Endless recollection of your love, Every night it haunts,

Seeping, creeping into my brain, Another night with you, Trying to be calm, show restraint, What else can I do.

Got me on my knees, Begging you, Baby please,

Bring back your rain, Wash away everything, Baby don’t you know that your love, Feels like a hurricane.

Bring back your rain, Crash on my shore, You left me baby wanting more,

Bring back your storm, Take me away, To they gardens where we played.
