boats bobble in blue sultry summery moments waves tickle the shore

I was raised on the water — Lodge Creek, a tributary of the Potomac River in Virginia. Now, I live on a lake in Florida. Water is my spiritual place. I always feel calmer and more centered when I’m near a body of water, be it a lake, river, stream, or the ocean.

On a recent day trip to Green Cove Springs, 50 miles east of my home, I was delighted to spend hours near the St. John’s River. Now, I’m planning another day trip and water will be the destination.
