Suki’s Happy Walk
A free verse poem response to Martin Rushton’s impromptu prompt on the use of techno-colgmical challenge weird but useful inventions

Walking down the High street, Suki finds The lack of unwanted attention A new kind of freedom as she is now Able to think more clearly On the tasks at hand for Her busy day ahead.
It’s only twenty minutes to Suki’s Place of work but she likes to Take it in her stride. Just a little exercise at the start of her day, Clearing out the cobwebs From her good night’s peaceful sleep.
Suki is a fashion-conscious girl Short skirts are the order of the day, Suki has what you may call A most lovely set of pins.
Suki has six bookings for today, This makes Sukies day A very busy day. Suki is a hairstylist A very good one too.
Happy is Suki she found a way For a mind clear of distraction, A most useful invention she came across To throw off unwanted stares, A peaceful walk she now has With her anti pervert hairy stocking tights!
Funny really, given Suki is a hairstylist. Do you think Suki combs her legs Or just keeps them unkept? I suppose it depends on the fashion at the time.
