Such Hate Is Expressed Over The State Of The Union Address
The U.S. Congress has shown itself to be a place of hate.
Has there ever been this much hate expressed over a State of the Union Address scheduled by the President of the United States? It is unlikely.
Some segment of Republicans in the United States Congress have said they would prevent President Joe Biden from giving his State of the Union Address. They have stated plans to heckle him and not let him speak.
The U.S. Congress was a place of decorum and respect in the past. That does not appear to be the case now as hate and discord are regularly displayed in the Capitol. Members of Congress bully other members or witnesses who are testifying and call them derogatory names.
There are some who show little respect for the office of the President of the United States.
The State of the Union address by President Biden is scheduled to begin at 9 PM Eastern Time on March 7, 2024.
It can be expected that it will not be an easy speech to give with the promises of certain Republican to disrupt the remarks. The House Speaker has said that he has asked his members to show decorum and tone it down. It is almost certain there are those who will not heed those words.
Although most people serving in Congress may be respectful and kind, there are those who are hateful and vindictive who refuse to work together with people on the other side of the aisle in a civilized manner.
