Submit Your Story To the Freelance Writing Zone

If you would like us to consider your article please read and follow the submission guidelines.

We want to publish:

• articles about becoming a writer and the various lifestyles you can choose from.
• articles about writing, freelancing, writing on Medium and how to become a better and more productive writer
• personal stories about your struggles, failures and successes.

We will NOT publish:

• fiction, short-stories, poetry.
• articles filled with grammatical errors.
• writing that does not meet Medium Curation Guidelines
• articles that have been previously published.

IF you have an article that is currently published elsewhere … AND, it s the perfect fit … we’ll consider it. Submit it, along with the link to where it is published.

How To Become a Contributor:

2. In your subject header include: “Submission to FWZ”

We will do our best to respond within 3–4 days.

Once you have been added to our writer’s list, you will be able to submit articles directly from your Medium Submission Panel.

Here is what we are looking for in each of the sections:

WRITING

In this section we are looking for how to articles … becoming a better writer no matter what niche you are focusing on, productivity hacks, writing challenges and sparks of inspiration.

FREELANCING

This section is all about making money as a writer. How CAN you make money, how DO you make money. There are hundreds of niches and ways to make money as a writer. We are looking for your struggles, challenges and successes, and lessons learned.

LIFESTYLE

Does the dream of what you thought it would look like, meet up with the reality of what a freelance writer’s life REALLY is? Tell your story.

MEDIUM

Everyone’s journey on Medium is different. What’s your story? What have you discovered about yourself. What have you learned about Medium?

MARKETING

For many writers, the area in which they “fail” involves marketing and selling themselves. It takes time, it takes energy, it takes know-how. So how DO you market your writing business? Failures, frustrations, successes, tips, hints and hacks.
