Writer’s Guidelines

Do you have a story to tell that you need to put to rest? Is your writing raw and vulnerable? Put It To Rest is a new publication accepting First-Person Stories OR Poetry about life experiences that have weighed on your mental health which you wish to explore through writing as a therapeutic endeavor. House your work here to Put It To Rest.
Calling all writers: experienced, newbies, and especially those who never thought of themselves as a writer BUT have a story to tell.

Submission Guidelines:
- Put It To Rest is a new publication accepting First-Person Narrative Stories OR Poetry about personal life experiences that have weighed on your mental health which you wish to explore through writing as a therapeutic endeavor.
- Stories should be approximately 650–1500 words.
- Stories should use appropriate Title (T) and Subtitle (t)
- Photos should include captions that cite the source accordingly. Unsplash has many good options.
- Sources should be cited.
- I am open to being an Editor, and actually helping those who consider themselves as non-writers to become writers in order to tell their story and reap the benefits of this exercise. I want to help you to tell your story.
- Choose the appropriate tags, but ensure you create 2 tags as #PutItToRest and use the tag #Nonfiction or #Poetry. Other suggested tags to consider are #mentalhealth, #self, #selfgrowth, #relationships.
- Please email me at [email protected] OR comment below to express your interest in writing a story for Put It To Rest. Include a brief bio, your medium account handle, and a brief synopsis of your story. Once we have exchanged details, I can add you as a writer, so you can submit a draft.
- In order to submit the draft, you must click on the 3 DOTS at the top right-hand corner of the page and click on the publication.
- I will make the suggested editorial comments prior to publication.
