Section 3: Red Flags, Dealbreakers, & Dismissal

  1. Hatefulness, rudeness, and trolling are not acceptable anywhere. It will not be tolerated — or published — at BJ’s ToT.
  2. Ask to be a writer if you want to be a writer on this pub. If you don’t, don’t ask. AI articles will not be published here. Neither will self-promotion or money schemes.
  3. Do your best work. That means you have Grammarly or some other editing service. Read my article on Grammarly here. I’m not a teacher; I don’t want to have to correct tons of silly errors and I won’t. If your work is a mess, it will not be published.
  4. Lastly, BJ is not a babysitter, but she will kick out the mean kids. Don’t be mean. Life’s too short and too long to waste it being mean to one another. Be great to each other instead.

Section 4: Mission Statement

BJ’s ToT — The Gathering Table is a place where opinions are enjoyed in a game setting. It is a place to share your stories and inspiration. In addition, it provides a safe space to try writing for other reasons, like bragging and shouting out to other writers on Medium or people in your life that make it the beautiful work of art that it is.

We’re not faking being positive here. Life lessons often come after our hardest times. But we do try to find a silver lining, even if it is just the fact that we can write about it and share it with other writers, friends, and cohorts who care at The Gathering Table.

Big Love & Happy ToT-ing.

I’m Brett Jenae Tomlin, The Anxious Enthusiast.
