Update Aug 13, 2023

Dear writer,
We are delighted to receive your interest in submitting your work to ShabdAaweg, a literary platform that cherishes creativity in all its forms, including AI art. We welcome submissions of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and visual art from writers and artists worldwide.
We publish stories on Weekly Basis, every Friday/Saturday.
Please note that a reading fee is applicable for LONGER works. We charge a reading fee of
- 4.99 USD for any piece greater than 10k words, &
- 29.99 USD for a novella of length 15k-25k words.
Currently, we receive International payments via PayPal:
https://paypal.me/ShabdAawegIN
There is no fee for submitting poetry. We prefer Prose more.
For writers from India, we suggest using UPI, in which case the fee would be
- Rs. 499 for any piece greater than 10k words, and
- Rs. 2999 for a novella of length 15k-25k words, which would be published as an e-book on Amazon and other relevant space along with a beautifully designed Cover.
For Indian users, we would encourage using UPI.
At ShabdAaweg, we value every submission and provide it with careful consideration. Please allow us up to 12 weeks to respond to your submission.
To submit your work, please email it to [email protected] with the subject line “Submission: [Title of your work, Name of Author]”. Please attach your submission as a Word document and include a brief author-bio in the body of your email.
The email should have the screenshot of the payment done.
Thank you for considering ShabdAaweg as a potential home for your creative work. We are eager to read your submissions and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm Regards, ShabdAaweg Team
HOW TO SUBMIT (VIA Medium — to Literary Impulse)
- We do not seek to publish every day.
- Three pieces are published every alternate Friday.
- If there are not enough entries, we might publish less. If we are affected by more pieces than we can publish, we’ll put them in a wait listing pile, which will be published next Friday.
- Selection for Medium publication is less rigorous than that of the journal. When your piece is selected for Medium, it automatically goes into the consideration list of journal issues.
- If we select your piece, we will ask you to remove your piece from Medium. So, you will have the option of either going for the journal or Medium publication. Minor edits will be suggested before the pieces go LIVE on the journal.
- We do not do listicles, and we are not after self-help articles either. Medium seems to be already full of them. Not that we want to bring about a change in the ecology of Medium. We believe that everything under the sun has its value.
- Remember, if we do not accept your piece, it’s just because we weren’t in that frame of mine, in which your piece could dazzle us. If it has grammatical errors, it won’t dazzle us at all. We don’t believe in editing others’ works unless there are avoidable spelling errors. So please, take your time before submitting something. We will also take our sweet time in reviewing it.
- We believe in being slow.

- And yes, an important point: we don’t care if you are or not enrolled in the Medium Partner program. If you write well, we are more than happy to have you with us.
- After you are added as a contributor, submit your unpublished draft for review. Give us at least 3 days to reply. We will let you know if it is accepted.
