Don’t worry — if I can do it, you can do it

Sometimes the guidelines to write for a publication feel like an interview to work at NASA. Or like those fill in the bubble tests we had to take in grade school that lasted 8 hours.

A lot of us are just newborns here on Medium and don’t know what the heck we are doing, so I just ask a few things.

1. Keep learning. Let’s all continue to get better. This place is beautiful.
2. Let me know by commenting here that you would like to be a writer on this publication, and I’ll add you.
3. I have focused on these topics: Family, Funny, Books and Book Reviews, Music, And Food/Drinks. I’ve recently added horror and fiction. But bring me more.
4. Please follow the rules posted by Medium.

4. Please when submitting to the publication, use the tag DropaLine

5. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t be an ass. Don’t be rude. Be kind. Be fair. Be considerate. I think that should cover it.

6. Follow the Drop a Line Publication, if you haven’t already. Follow the editors as well! Right now, that’s just me, myself, and I.

7. Lastly, please give me 24 hours to publish your submissions! I have 4 kids and they drive me nuts for something like 20 hours out of the day. I promise I’ll get it done.
