Drop a Line
Submission Guidelines-Updated 3/26/2022
Don’t worry — if I can do it, you can do it

Sometimes the guidelines to write for a publication feel like an interview to work at NASA. Or like those fill in the bubble tests we had to take in grade school that lasted 8 hours.
A lot of us are just newborns here on Medium and don’t know what the heck we are doing, so I just ask a few things.
- Keep learning. Let’s all continue to get better. This place is beautiful.
- Let me know by commenting here that you would like to be a writer on this publication, and I’ll add you.
- I have focused on these topics: Family, Funny, Books and Book Reviews, Music, And Food/Drinks. I’ve recently added horror and fiction. But bring me more.
- Please follow the rules posted by Medium.
Broaden my pages, please.
4. Please when submitting to the publication, use the tag DropaLine
5. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t be an ass. Don’t be rude. Be kind. Be fair. Be considerate. I think that should cover it.
6. Follow the Drop a Line Publication, if you haven’t already. Follow the editors as well! Right now, that’s just me, myself, and I.
7. Lastly, please give me 24 hours to publish your submissions! I have 4 kids and they drive me nuts for something like 20 hours out of the day. I promise I’ll get it done.
Thanks for joining me, Happy Writing!
