Submission Guidelines
How to submit your dark poems to The Black Veil

Greetings, Darklings. Welcome to The Black Veil where your words bleed across the page. This is the home for all things dark and demented. Where hidden treasures can be found under the black veil. Do you have the courage to enter here? If so, read below to find out how you can contribute to this publication.
What We Are Looking For
- Dark poems
- Erotic dark poems
- Ranting dark poems
- Mournful poems with dark undertones
- Dark prose poems
Necessary Guidelines
- Turn on your Private Notes under Settings/Publishing. This is how the editor communicates with you after you submit your poems.
- All submissions must have a Title, Subtitle, and a correctly cited Image from a free image service (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixaby, Canva, etc.). See this Medium Help article if you do not know how to do this. You may also use Kickers.
- Read and adhere to Medium’s TOS and Rules. The editor will not publish any poems here in The Black Veil that violate the TOS and Rules.
- Use the following three (3) Reader Interest Tags when you submit your poems — Poetry, Dark Poetry, The Black Veil. You may use whatever you wish for the other two tags. The editor reserves the right to change your tags if you do not use those three.
- We accept drafts and previously published poems (so long as they are published on your own page and not in someone else’s publication — that is a Medium NoNo!)
To become a contributor, leave a comment below stating that you agree to the guidelines and wish to be a writer. Please also leave your Medium ID.
Until then, I will see you somewhere out there lurking in the darkness.🖤
