A guide to sharing your work on Short Shorts

GUIDELINES
Short Shorts shares short fiction.
Please read this guide carefully for instructions on submitting your work.
This guide is subject to change.
- All work must adhere to Medium’s Rules and Curation Guidelines.
- Stories should be well-written with spelling and grammar checked prior to submission.
- Only previously unpublished work will be shared.
- Only one submission per person per day.
- Stories should be tagged appropriately (i.e.: short story, flash fiction, etc.) before submitting.
- Submissions should include a relevant image with the copyright owner of the image attributed. Writers must have permission to use the image.
- An editor may leave a comment and/or recommend changes to submissions before accepting.
- Editors also reserve the right to make changes to submissions.
- Please allow several days for editors to review submissions.
- Writing about hate, violence, racism, obscenity, or any unsavory content will be rejected.
- Advertising and politically motivated pieces will also be rejected.
- Submissions may be rejected if they include links to external websites.
- Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be accepted.

Story Categories
Currently Short Shorts accepts fictional stories that are 1000 words or less (not including titles).
As a general guide, short fiction categories are as follows:
- Micro fiction is 100 words or less
- Fun-size fiction is 300 words or less
- Sudden fiction is 750 words or less
- Flash fiction is no more than 1000 words

To submit a story to Short Shorts, please leave a comment below with “Please add me as a writer” along with your Medium @username.
