Stuck In A Rut? — Here’s How To Unstick Yourself And Start Enjoying Life Instead!
(Doing the same old thing every damn day)?
Have you ever found yourself stuck in a rut?
Doing the same old thing every bloody day, with nothing really changing in your life and nothing looking like it’s ever going to change any time soon?
Ever felt like that? Perhaps you feel a little like that now?
Let me help you with that right here and now dear loyal reader…
What I am about to share with you is the cold hard truth.
Most often in life, making ourselves realize the truth and making ourselves actually face that truth and begin taking action to change things, can lead to a huge about-turn in our lives.
Let’s face it, from time to time in our lives we’ve all at some point or another felt like we are in a rut and that life is not really as we wanted it to be at that point.
At times like that it can feel like you are going nowhere and just trudging through each day.
Existing rather than living.
The way out of that rut?
Well, here’s that cold hard truth I was talking about…
To get yourself out of that rut and to start enjoying life again instead, you need to do just three things.
Here are those three things laid out for you:-
Thing 1) — Sit yourself down and give yourself a real talking to. The key here is to understand, realize and admit, that it is YOU (and nobody else) that is responsible for exactly where you are in life right now.
No excuses. It’s not your boss (who won’t give you a promotion or pay rise), it’s not your friends or family (who might not be supporting you), it’s not ‘fate’ either.
Nope. The cold, hard, sometimes unpalatable truth, is that YOU are the one person responsible for your life and your current position in life.
The decisions that YOU made (or didn’t make) along the way, have delivered you right where you are in life right now.
Had some bad luck along the way?
Guess what? That is called LIFE.
Bad luck and good luck happens to everyone. Part of the up and down waves of life. It’s how you deal with both of those things that decides your outcome.
Once you accept full and frank responsibility for where you are in life right now, once you have decided to stop blaming circumstances or other people, you are ready to move on to ….
Thing 2) — So you now know where you are in life and what your life looks like right now. You also know that your current position and lifestyle is down to the decisions you have made up to this point in your life.
Now it’s time to make a CHOICE.
It’s your choice.
Nobody else can make this choice for you.
You have to take responsibility for making this choice.
Your CHOICE is this…
a) Do you want to stay wallowing in this rut of yours?
Or…
b) Do you want to choose to get yourself OUT of this rut once and for all and begin changing your life and your lifestyle for the better from this point forward?
If you choose a), obviously, NOTHING will change in your life. That’s your decision though. That’s YOUR responsibility and YOUR choice.
If you choose b), you can happily move on to…
Thing 3) — COMMITMENT — Having made the firm decision that you are GOING to change things, (not try to), change your life and get yourself out of this rut, you will be feeling a change come over you already at this point.
Having made that decision, you now need to COMMIT to that decision. COMMIT to making it happen.
So…
1) Accept full RESPONSIBILITY for your current circumstances and lifestyle.
2) Make a CHOICE to begin changing your life and your lifestyle for the better from this point forward.
3) Make a firm, strong and unshakable COMMITMENT to change things, to change your future circumstances, happiness and lifestyle.
Believe me, if you are ever in a rut, that is the 3 step plan that will not fail to get you out of it and back on the right path. The hard bit is that you DO have to follow that plan to the letter. No excuses. No wimpish, whiny, ‘trying’…… Plenty of DOING will get you there!
Remember…
It’s your life.
What do YOU really want?
MAKE IT HAPPEN!
