Strike the Iron While It’s Hot
Poem & poetry prompt: seizing your opportunity

strike the iron while it’s hot embodies those days when mood is high and productivity fierce, zooming through a hundred tasks in a blink of an eye,
to make change when the time is right because when the time is right the iron remains malleable and ready to be forged.
yet there are days I sit rusty upon a corner fully formed and heavy oxidizing away.
Tagging: Julia Appa | Blank Voice | Fathiyah Zb | Whatsinanaim | Jen Kleinknecht if you’re up to it and anyone else interested in today’s prompt: Battre le fer pendant qu’il est chaud (FRENCH); strike the iron while it’s hot (ENGLISH); 打鐵趁熱 (CHINESE)*. The concept of seizing an opportunity when it’s still fresh.
*I like the Cantonese version of this best because it;s succinct and RHYMES: da teet chun yeet.
How to join: include the original post of the person who tagged you for reference and tag 5–10 other people (or simply “tag all”) who might be interested in this prompt! Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) is a dilly-dallier, eggspert procrastinator and overall vv slowly gets to things and often by the time she does, her initial passion is long gone. That’s why she needs to embrace this concept more often!
