The Power of Dreams and Purpose…!

Two inseparable elements necessary for success and achieving your dream goal are dreams and purpose. Together, they bolster your belief in your ability to achieve your goal and make your dreams come true.

A story that inspired me to act like a motivational firecracker.

Inspiration to Take Action

It got me off my chair. I jumped on my bike and rode into the woods, covering over 50 kilometers in 3.5 hours without stopping (I’m 50 years old). It’s not about the statistics of kilometers and average speed; for me, the important thing is the time of activity and lack of fatigue. I could have ridden even longer, but it started raining, so I had to end the trip. This was my first ride after winter.

What motivated me to do it?

Inspiration to Take Action

Today, I watched a movie about 16-year-old Jessica Watson, an Australian who dreamed of becoming the youngest solo sailor and circumnavigating the world without any help, sailing non-stop and without calling at ports. To do so, she had to sail through some of the toughest places on the ocean, such as Cape Horn, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Jessica Watson, at the age of 16, circumnavigated the world on her own and became the youngest person in the world to accomplish this feat on a non-stop voyage. Her 10-meter pink yacht took seven months to complete the journey.

She was greeted in Sydney Harbor by more than 80,000 fans who closely followed her journey. During the voyage, the young sailor faced cold weather and waves reaching 12 meters. Her sailboat capsized seven times.

Jessica set sail from Sydney on October 18. From there, she went first north to cross the equator, then south and into the Atlantic Ocean, where she sailed past the famous Cape Horn. She then headed for South Africa and the Indian Ocean.

So far, the youngest sailor to accomplish this improbable feat was 18-year-old Australian Jesse Martin (1999).

Now, it has made its debut on Netflix. If you want to feel the true power of dreams and motivation, I recommend watching this movie. Set aside almost two hours of your free time because once you start watching, it’s hard to tear yourself away! Check out the official trailer on Netflix’s YouTube channel:
