Summary

The website content is a personal and empowering poem titled "Strength in Solitude" that reflects on self-worth and the decision to leave a relationship that does not appreciate one's inner and outer beauty.

Abstract

"Strength in Solitude" is a poignant poem that captures the emotional journey of choosing to walk away from a relationship where the speaker feels unappreciated and undervalued. Despite the heartache and soul-wrenching pain, the speaker acknowledges their own worth and decides to prioritize self-love over staying in an unfulfilling relationship. The poem suggests that true love should not cause such pain and that the speaker would rather be alone than with someone who cannot see their true value. The piece concludes with a resolve to accept this solitude as a form of strength and self-preservation, implying that it is better to be alone than to be with someone who diminishes one's sense of self-worth.

A Short Poem

I’m choosing to walk away I know it’s for the best I know you’re the one leaving, but I won’t hold on,

Honey, with my heart aching and my soul dying, I say, “I’m walking away now.” Because I deserve more I deserve myself

I don’t deserve a man who can’t see my beauty Inner or outer If there’s no one out there able to see this, Then I don’t deserve love.

So be it. I take my sentence the way I accepted my heartbreak because no woman deserves to feel the way you made me feel, and I won’t let him hurt this woman born out of pain.
