Stream of Midjourney prompts #4

Hello, welcome to Stream of Midjourney prompts #4. In Stream of Midjourney, I like to explore tokens for prompts that I found when using the “describe” function in Midjourney.

The ‘describe’ function can surprise and inspire consistently. Every time I use it, I find gems that can fully change the outcome of my prompts and transform the results into unique visual concepts.

This time the idea is “beach vacation photos” and the tokens that came from the “describe” function are : snapshot aesthetic, detailed perfection, playful use of shapes, commercial imagery and unconventional use of space.

Snapshot aesthetic

I found on Google that the snapshot aesthetic features spontaneous, candid moments and everyday subjects. They often embrace imperfections like unconventional framing or motion blur. This style is getting very popular today, and it was influenced by the rise of consumer cameras, breaking traditional fine art photography norms. Artists known for this style include Nan Goldin, William Eggleston, and Diane Arbus, to name a few.

Detailed Perfection

Detailed perfection is characterized by a meticulous focus on achieving highly precise and realistic details, often resulting in works that closely resemble real-life objects or scenes. This approach might be time-consuming because of the significant technical skill.

Playful use of shapes

The “playful use of shapes” involves experimenting with geometric and organic forms in vibrant, dynamic compositions, often characterized by bold colors and strong contrasts. This approach, commonly found in abstract art, emphasizes creative expression and emotive impact, influenced by movements like Cubism and Surrealism.

Commercial imagery

Commercial imagery refers to visual content created for advertising, marketing, or branding purposes. It focuses on promoting products, services, or brand identities and is designed to appeal to a target audience. This type of imagery is present across various media, including print ads, digital platforms, television, and packaging, and is characterized by its strategic design and intent to influence consumer behavior.

Unconventional use of space

It refers to the creative and often non-traditional way artists arrange elements within a composition. It challenges conventional norms of perspective, balance, and spatial relationships, often leading to surprising, thought-provoking, or disorienting effects. Some artists who employ this technique might play with scale, juxtapose unrelated objects, or distort space to create unique visual narratives.
