Decidedly December; prompt
Stories and Stars of December
What makes this month special for me

December sparkles with stories and stars.
Stories packed away in our hearts become more intense and vivid, sweeter and warmer, crazier and more unbelievable each time we share them.
We unwrap these memories, as tangible as the ornaments hanging on the tree, and they seem strangely dimmed until we begin to polish them with a whispered “remember when” and then they shine in their brilliance.
Our own stories can be as fantastical as those of Scrooge or the Grinch, Rudolph or the Nutcracker
or they can be inspirational and universal, linking us to the first Christmas tale of a newborn child sleeping in a manger.
Stories evoke memories, flickering as clearly as twinkling stars that entice us to look up and bask in their quiet beauty.
Stars flirt with us, winking and hiding, promising to deliver when we ‘wish upon’ them.
Stories shape our pasts while stars coax our dreams forward.
December is decidedly delightful; it’s a month for stories and stars. May your December sparkle with whatever helps your life to shine.
