Stop. Write the first line of your poem

You are the ocean, I am the sand We combine to make the beach. We give in to each other’s demands Looking out, we see that things are mysterious. We look out to see the world change along with everything else. We look out to find a new way to move through the words of the past.

You are the ocean, I am the sand We combine to make the beach.
We are the two artists. We may not be good at everything we do, but no matter what we do, we give it all we have. What are you trying to say? Even if it doesn’t make sense, it is poetry. Even if they’re corny, they’re words that will burn on your tongue, because there’s an idea activating in a place you can’t see. Don’t be afraid of the fact that the words sound different. That’s the idea. We are the two artists.

You wrote it because you found something to express that won’t go away, and it was so sad that You couldn’t be there, but I don’t want to leave your words alone here while they’re still in this world waiting to be seen.
Does anybody know anything about the story of The Augmented’s Quest?
The Augmented’s Journey is a substack of poetry written collaboratively in free verse that records what it’s like to live in a dystopian future. With each new episode, you’re thrust farther into the universe and forced to face its diversity without resorting to easy generalizations.
What exactly is the deal with this Augmented’s Journey, then?
All of you are cordially welcomed on an enhanced trip into a future whose details are as yet unknown. We learn more in each episode about how augmented reality has altered our perception of time and space.
When shall we begin our journey?
Now…
