Stop Hiding From Your Fat Body!
Have you looked at a picture of yourself recently and immediately deleted the evidence? Read this if your answer is yes.
I am on a postpartum weight loss journey, but before this journey, I went on one in 2022 and lost 20lbs and got in the best shape of my life. read more about it here
I also make a point to take a picture every time I go to the gym or if I am just lounging around the house.
I had a friend recently start working out with me and when I told her we were going to take our gym picture she wanted to suck her stomach in and didn't want to take the photo because she didn't like how she looked.
My postpartum body is so different from my pre-pregnancy body and at times it is so hard to see my body now.
Even before I started my weight loss journey in 2022 I was the person who would see myself in a photo, see how big I was and immediately delete the photo because I couldn't bear to look at myself.
But over the years and with all of the mentally and emotionally healthy habits I gained on my fitness journey I know how important pictures are for us.
I know there are a lot of people who preach body positivity and loving the body you're in but I am a person who believes if you don't like your body you SHOULD change it.
Why you ask? because you don't have to settle in life.
You don't have to settle for less than you deserve when it comes to love or money, so why should you settle for living in a body that you can't stand looking at?
Look at your fat body
look at all the parts of you that you don't like, and use that as motivation to change it and stop settling for less than what you deserve.
Don't change because society says you're fat and need to lose weight.
Change because you can’t look at yourself in the mirror or a picture without being ashamed or feeling the need to hide.
A successful weight loss journey changes more than the way you look.
It changes the way you think, the way you feel, and the way you talk to yourself.
It changes your life.
