Stones of Transformation for Spiritual Journeys and Writing
Moldavite, Lapis Luzuli, Sodalite

When I was first learning about things paranormal and spiritual journeys, I was introduced to semi-precious gemstones. I learned that stones you kept in close proximity to your body meant something and sometimes could influence or attract qualities.
One of the first stones I learned about is called moldavite. It doesn’t look like much, but I could actually feel it vibrating in my hand. Moldavite are called outer space stones. They are not beautiful and look like a broken Coca-Cola bottle. Different shades of green from a very deep green to a light green. They are sharp and look sometimes like chipped Indian arrowheads.
When the meteorite crashes through our Earth’s atmosphere it burns and forms glass. Hence, a green glass. They are found mostly in Czechoslovakia in potato fields, though from what I’ve heard in recent times the Czech government has put a limit to the number that can be harvested and between that and the shortage of stones on the market they are expensive.
Last I looked you could get a small piece, the size of your pinkie fingernail for $25. I no longer have the source where I originally acquired my first stones and so now, have found a reputable dealer on the internet called InnerVisionCrystals.net. There are many who are not so reputable and, in my own experience the only way I know for sure that what I am looking at is a genuine piece of moldavite is if I get the vibrations as I hold it in my hand. I just looked on the website and they are offering a piece of moldavite that is 26x26x13mm which is also 1”x1”x ½ “ on sale for $700. Normally, that piece would sell for $1,750 and weighs 11.5 grams. The ones I get, the much smaller ones are $25 each and always when they are on sale.

Moldavite is a stone of communication. It is also reputed to be a stone that will spur you on your own spiritual journey. All I know is it worked for me. Some people, like the original lady who sold me mine can’t stand to have it near them. She told me she gets headaches and had to put them in a far corner of the store. I found them to be quite useful and used to give away my stones when I was at parties getting drunk. Luckily, I don’t drink anymore, but I also can’t seem to find my stones. I’ll have to do a deep cleaning in the house to locate them. I know I have at least two of them somewhere. I’ve also got a pair of earrings and a crystal pendent with a cut piece. Nowadays, I would never be able to afford them, but the stone works.
You put them in your pocket or in a bag you tie around your neck to keep them nearby. My dreams got really vivid when I first had the stones. Others have told me they had orgasms when they kept the stones close. Could you imagine being in a business meeting and feeling those telltale rumblings from down below? Actually, there was an episode of House where a patient couldn’t stop having them. In any case, unfortunately it didn’t work for me that way.
There are a couple of stones that are good for writing. I have both. I keep them in a little dish on my computer desk. The more expensive one is lapis lazuli. This is an ancient semi-precious gemstone. It’s a 5 to a 5.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. It is a bright blue and gold. The color ultramarine comes from lapis lazuli. It is mined in Afghanistan. Medieval nuns have been found to have it embedded in their molars because they would lick the tips of their brushes and transfer the pigment to their teeth.
The other blue stone is called sodalite. Typically, any blue stone is good for writing and helps with communication. These are associated with the throat chakra which is blue.
Sodalite is a 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale of hardness. This is more a blue, white and grey stone. To give you an idea for comparison, diamonds are a 10 on the Mohs scale.
In the past I’ve used citrine for belly ache, jasper for stress when I was trying to quit smoking, crystal for clarity, amethyst and rose quartz for heart love. I remember Helen, the owner of the Rock Shop where I purchased my first moldavite told me to walk about the store and just allow myself to be drawn toward whatever stone seemed to interest me.
