Stew

No, he’s not the bass player…

Being someone who cooks 98.374% of all the food he eats, I am authorized to say that I have cooked numerous different stews in my short or long (depending on how you look at it) life. Hundreds of them, actually. I have endeavored to master all the popular stews out there.

But once I have mastered a stew I move on and very rarely cook it again. My Stew Quest (not a drummer) is all about creating a brand new stew that no one has ever come up with before. It has to be so outrageously different and mind-blowing that it wins some kind of Nobel Prize or something. I want to be known as the guy who invented ______ stew. Filling in that blank is my secret desire, my secret obsession, the burr under my saddle.

One of the things I like about stew is that it is imperative for the chef to repeatedly taste it every 18 minutes. It’s great for long weekends.

That reminds me… I’ve got a pot of stew on the stove right now. It’s pretty damn good so far. Will it be the one?

It’s too early to say.

Well, bye for now. I’ve got to get back to that stew so I’m returning to The Kitchen (not a rock group)…
