Steppin’ Out
The Rascals are singing A Beautiful Morning
Back from the wilds of Wyoming and the hills of Tennessee I’ve been hanging around the house outside of Atlanta waiting for my Christmas present. It just arrived. I’m now pointing and shooting with my new business phone aka iPhone 13 Pro. I walked around the yard this morning test-driving it.

The much-touted Macro ability is the sole reason I made the swap for my 11, but don’t tell my accountant. He thinks I needed it for business. The feature is interesting.

I found a Pizza fungus basking in my now-defunct vegetable garden. Just dough, sauce, and a rim of cheese.

The semi-scientist in me always took pride in an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the world around me when I was younger. Everything was described as Genus and, usually, species. Now I often consult my old bird and tree and bug and plant and flower books to see if I can spot them. Much to my chagrin I think that most of the books are so old that evolution has occurred. So, I pretty much stick to descriptions like Pizza fungus and Yellow flower and such. Oh look, there is a Tiny insect on the handrail of the deck! You get the picture so to speak (I inserted cunningly).

And yes, I realize I should know the names of the various plants hanging from the railings of my deck!

Well, that is my first blush with the iPhone 13 Pro. I pointed and shot. The only manipulation of individual photos was cropping. What you see is what I saw through the screen.

With practice I’m sure I’ll get this thing nailed down. Cheers ya’ll!
