Fake it until you make it, this Momfluencer ‘faked’ a child kidnapping case.

Post every day. Add a hashtag. Make a false child kidnapping case. Who wouldn’t want to be an influencer these days, a momfluencer or Instamom can make as much as $20,000 a month.

It could also be why this mom created her ‘awareness video’ for her Instagram followers about keeping your children safe.
Safe from people who aren’t white.
This Instamom/Karen had gone full ‘Gone Girl’. She went to the police and identified a couple as the alleged wannabe kidnappers of her cute little white toddlers.
And it worked.
Her Instagram @motherhoodessentials_ (it used to be @motherhoodessentials) now has 60,000 followers, from 6,000 followers before she uploaded her ‘awareness video’ but today her account is private.
She is facing three misdemeanor charges of giving false reports to police that carry up to 6 months in prison and/or a $1,000 in fine.

As a Catholic myself, it's a Christmas tradition.
The nativity scene of the birth of baby Jesus. Sadie was on a mission on that day as she went to buy baby Jesus at the Michaels craft store, five minutes away from her home in Petaluma, California.
This happened in December 2020, the Christmas of the pandemic.
Sadie and Eddie are both Nicaraguan Americans, and Sadie didn’t ‘dress up’ properly on that day, with her hair in a messy bun, and Eddie in a regular shirt, they didn’t expect to be the target of a ‘Karen’ Instamom.
Katie Sorensen
Katie Sorensen is the Instamom, the micro momfluencer who had 6,000 followers on her Instagram account, @motherhoodessentials_ before she transformed into a ‘Karen’.
She was at Michaels the same day as Sadie and Eddie.
What is a ‘Karen?’ A Karen is a “middle aged woman, typically blonde, makes solutions to others’ problems an inconvenience to her although she isn’t remotely affected.” — Parade
The woman who reported an African American male in Central Park, that was a Karen, and that woman who called on the police about a girl selling water bottles, that’s a Karen too.
What happened next is the most bizarre thing that can ever happen inside a craft store.
Attempted Kidnapping Awareness Video
Sadie and Eddie got their baby Jesus.
Katie filmed her ‘awareness video’ a few days after. She said it was important to put the message out, even if she was still traumatized and uncomfortable sharing it.
But like any ‘Karen’ she did it anyway.
In her now-deleted video, she shared her horrifying experience at Michaels, about the ‘attempted kidnapping’. And who wouldn’t be traumatized, it is the greatest fear of every parent to lose their child.
And this is Petaluma, California where sadly, Polly Hannah Klaas a 12-year-old girl was kidnapped and murdered.
She claimed a couple had followed her around the store and made comments about her children. She also said that the man had even lunged at her stroller.
By the absolute grace of God,
She was safe and so were her little ones.
“I think right now we are so distracted by everything that is going on in the world that we kind of have our guards up so much about masks and wanting to keep our children safe that way that we are forgetting the most important way to keep them safe, and that is with us and to not have them taken,” she said.
“I saw these people, they didn’t look necessarily clean-cut,” she told KTVU. “I felt uncomfortable around them, and instead of making them uncomfortable with my discomfort, I chose to remain in my discomfort.”
Katie described them as ‘not clean-cut’ meaning they are not white like her.
Katie Sorensen, the Instagram influencer charged with lying to police, pleads not guilty. Her case is still pending and will have its first hearing in May 2022.
Conclusion
Katie Sorensen has moved away from Petaluma. Her mom Jill Turgeon started a Gofund Me page for Sorensen’s legal fees. I guess, the only influence Katie is doing right now is influencing her mother.
The Gofund Me page has only raised $2,300 out of the $50,000 the family is trying to raise for her legal fund.
Sadie is still busy with her home business, and on TikTok with her videos using the #ProsecuteKatie. She is also very much involved with the ‘Caution Against Racial and Exploitative Non-Emergencies Act, or the CAREN Act.’
She still has her baby Jesus, and Katie still has her blonde hair.
Katie Sorensen remains an Amazon influencer.
