Stay Open

Day 6: Be receptive, not rejective

My photo

Be receptive, not rejective

Stay open to new perspectives

New ways of seeing, thinking, being

It is beyond freeing

Freeing because you’re no longer beholden

To hold the beliefs you had once chosen

You can re-evaluate at your own will

As new information is revealed

You can assess for yourself

If the time has come for beliefs to update

You get to open the flood gates

To let the revelations flow

Stay in the know

Just stay open

Hard to see clearly when you’ve already chosen

That’s when mindset can become frozen

Stagnant

Causing the mind to fragment

A schism from reality

The alternative is to just let it be

Stay open, ready to learn

It’s okay to hold beliefs, but don’t hold too firm

So it’ll be easier to loosen your grip

If it comes to it

Seeking truth is where the magic arises

It can lead to all sorts of prizes

Surprises

When you become a master of none

You inevitably become a student of one

Open to anything

You might hear the crows sing

You might get to be king

You might get up in the morning

And know that the world is yours

That there are many doors

And you get to decide

Which ones shall open and which shall lie

Dormant

Mosaic patterns forming

To tessellate

Free to integrate

Knowledge as it comes

Into the spinning mandala of mind

Tracing through time

Ever so divine
