Stay Curious and Read
Community Reading Group
Welcome back to our reading community. We have some great stories to read this week. We are looking for one more contributor. If you have recommendations, let us know in the comments.
Again, we know Medium doesn’t like it when we access our articles to read through Social Media sources.
If you see these stories on Facebook, please access them here, as the Medium CEOs seem to consider social media a form of growth hacking.
Our itinerary is below. Just remember a few things with this Reading Community — you must read as per the time of the article. The 30 seconds is bunk. We are all speed readers, so this takes patience and honesty. (I use a timer :)
We keep trying people out. Oh well… let them go in peace. (Antonio, you were right.)
Remember, this only works if you reciprocate. In this group, we don’t have to pimp ourselves for a read on social media. This is refreshing. If someone in our group is not reading your articles, please let me know in the comments.
Let’s support each other.
There will be another list in a week.
Reading Guidelines
RHCC
Read Highlight Comment Clap
1. Read as per the suggested Medium Reading Time. This is challenging, as we’re all speed readers. So what I do is I look at the time at the top of the article, and then I turn on my timer and slowly read it to make sure I’m not short-thrifting the writer.
2. Highlight if this is something you usually do. Apparently this helps with stats.
3. Leave a comment. Not just a nice read. What insights did you glean from reading it? — an excellent place to start. What one thing did you learn? Does the story read like a human wrote it?
4. Clap. Hold down the key if you are on your phone.
