Starry Night

#29 of 31 Days of May SCWBI Challenge – A Haiku for you

Photo by Jeremy Bishop on Unsplash

City lights filter

The true abundance of stars

Scarcity man made

When I leave the city lights, I am always amazed by the mind boggling amount of stars seen in the night sky.

The contrast reminds me of a scene in the children’s movie Madagascar. Yes …another kid’s movie reference.

Have I mentioned that is pretty much all I get to watch these days?!

In the movie, Alex the lion and Marty the zebra are reflecting on life and Marty turning ten.

In his attempts to cheer Marty up, Alex says, hey look, the star is out… a single star. The single star that turns out to be a helicopter.

Love it.

Love the sky.

Love city lights too when gazing on starry nights are not possible. Almost look like stars….almost.
