Paper Poetry Prompt#2

The most interesting thing about a postage stamp is the persistence with which it sticks to its job — Napoleon Hill
Stamp adhesive paper licked by mouth of sender seeking confirmed delivery.
Stamp carries history written on paper through sender and carrier cost.
Stamp is payment of earthly words not destined for heaven arrival.

Look for love not where the heart is but to whom it has written.
Love is written and given tongue before it is delivered stamped.
Love is heart awaiting to hear words stamped on paper privately.

These series of poems are elfchen (German-language for “little elf” or “little eleven”), a poetry form containing 11 words in the format 1//2// 3 // 4 // 1.
