Squirrels Sharing the Bounty

There is always more than enough

Photo by Steve Adams on Unsplash

Everything in nature, including us, is geared toward the growth and fulfillment of its purpose. ~ Ellen Grace O’Brian

Squirrels bounding from branch to branch, Their treasure clearly in sight, Jumping into a feast aplenty, Gobbling the seeds with joy.

Below the small birds rejoice, A shower of small seeds their prize, Pecking and fluttering about, Finding an abundance on the ground.

A bluejay awaits his turn, At the plate of plenty, Making a joyful noise, He swoops to claim a morsel.

The circle sharing is apparent, In our garden wonderland, There is always an overflow, For all creatures to enjoy.

This morning while eating breakfast, I was delighted to see the antics of the squirrels, small birds, and bluejays. They love to be around our hanging bird feeder that swings from the branches with constant activity. I love how each animal always gets more than enough from this one source, and they all share from the overflow. The squirrels tend to make a mess, but the birds pick up the small seeds that fall below. This is a perfect lesson for my 100-day journey studying abundance: there is always more than enough.

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you observe the bounty of nature. In all seasons, it is working in perfect harmony. Go outside if you can today, and see how there is always abundance there.

Day #32: How can you apply the lessons of abundance in nature to your life?
