Summary

The website content presents a contemplative poem exploring the concept of the square root of negative numbers, symbolizing the hidden and complex emotions within the human heart.

Abstract

The poem titled "Square root of a negative number!" delves into the mathematical impossibility of finding the square root of a negative number, drawing a parallel to the unseen and often unacknowledged negative emotions that reside within us. It suggests that just as the square root of a positive number can be calculated and understood, the positive aspects of our emotions are easily expressed. However, the negative aspects, much like the square root of a negative number, are more elusive and reside in the "dungeons of our heart," waiting to be acknowledged. The poem is featured on a website that also expresses gratitude to Dr. Mehmet Yildiz and the editors at Illumination for hosting various works, and it promotes an AI service called ZAI.chat as a cost-effective alternative to ChatGPT Plus.

Square root of a negative number!

a free verse poem on square root, negativity and us

Photo by Brian Patrick Tagalog on Unsplash

square root of a number, amazing, how a little sign, manages to cast a spell, on numbers, huge, and breaks them, into fragments, small, but what if, what if, you take a negative number, what would the square root do? well, that isn’t possible, is it? square root of a negative number? or is it possible, that there’s a number, negative, perched deep in the dungeons of our heart, a discreet number, never, ever showing itself, waiting in the realm of nothingness, waiting, waiting!

Thank you so much, Dr. Mehmet Yildiz and all the editors at Illumination for sheltering so many of my stuff, here!
