Spring Forward is Here….Why Can’t We Stay With One Time?

Today is the day we lose an hour. (Or at least some people do)

Each spring the clock magically goes up an hour and causes us to lose an hour of sleep. At least, that’s the way it is in Texas and the vast majority of the United States.

Supposedly, the ability to travel in time was to help conserve energy or at least that’s what they say. If I had it my way, I wish they would pick one time and stick with it.

Losing one hour of sleep doesn’t only disrupt our schedule but it also increases the chance of accidents. Driving on the highway is already dangerous enough with everyone texting, do we really need one more thing to worry about?

The good news is that Congress is considering passing a law to make daylight savings time permanent. The bad news is that they can’t agree on anything.

I’m lucky that I work from home and I don’t have to follow a set schedule. However, most people have to work or go to school at a certain time and manually time traveling isn’t beneficial to anyone.

Maybe one day we can agree to stay with one time, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Let Me Know Your Thoughts

How do you feel about spring forward? Do you think we should make changes to the time twice a year or should we stay with one time? Do you live in a country that doesn’t follow this practice?
