Spread Light In The World: A Healing Meditation Exercise

With all the turbulence in the outside world, it's almost like the cultivation of silence in our inner worlds is being tested.
This moment, as any “chaotic situation”, is the moment to anchor all the beautiful things we always talk about: peace, compassion, presence, love, balance, awareness. We are the transformation we want to see in the world, and we can overflow to support the healing of all life on Earth. This is the aim of the meditation below.
Hands of light meditation
A meditation to spread light, to support healing in the world.
- Sit in silence, in a comfortable position. Keep your back straight. Make sure to have your palms open, facing up.
- Take a few deep breaths to calm down your nervous system. As you breathe in, visualize you are breathing in white light, relaxing your body. As you breathe out, you let go of all your tensions.
- After a few minutes, as you find yourself calm, visualize white crystalline light coming inside your body through the top of your head. Picture the light radiating from within, charging you. Keep doing this until you feel you are completely charged. Then, proceed to the next step.
- At this moment, when you are fully charged, the light keeps coming from the top of your head as you breathe in. But now when you breathe out, it overflows. As you breathe out, the light goes out from you into the world through your hands.
- As the light overflows, let it flow to those you love. Visualize this white crystalline light coming from through your hands and going specific people, neighborhoods, cities. Picture the whole flow: coming from above through your head, leaving you through your hands, and lighting the whole world.
- Stay like this for as long as you feel you have energy to give.
