Spirituality reveres an enthusiasm for life-long learning and academic achievements. Religion frowns upon the search for knowledge. Read Genesis 3:6–18
Spirituality honors maternal lineages and paternal lineages equally. Religion instructs that only one matters. Read Ezra 2:1–58

Spirituality seeks peace. Religion requires enemies. Read Nahum 1:2
Spirituality leans towards fairness. Religion depends on poverty so its adherents can be seen feeding hungry people. Read Proverbs 22:2
Spirituality allows you to follow a god, a goddess, many gods, many goddesses, or none at all. Religion offers just their one guy, or burn in hell. Read Exodus 22:18
Spirituality can be defined in any way you see fit. Religion is restrictive. Read the Bible.
Spirituality doesn’t mind if you come and go. Religion obliges you to a life-long investment, which risks harm to the ego if you consider breaking away. Read a psychology book.
