Spiritual Decoding

It’s a bird, a plane…. a sign…

locked in — locked out © Brooklyn Muse

the awareness of “something else”,

unlocking that spiritual door….

meditation, stillness, a dream state-

the search for something more.

the passing of someone close to you,

the birth of a new life,

the moment you wonder “Why am I here?”

amidst the pain and strife.

we search and we study-

we look above and way below,

put faith in our leaders

but who is really to know?

we follow like sheep in a meadow

clearly many are still crazed and lost,

feathers, crystals, candles and the like

at such a crazy cost.

mountains, sages, channelers and such

are put on quite display,

with muslin and birkenstocks

trying to find their way.

vegan life at the forefront-

everyone in search for the cure,

looking for a spiritual sense

and yearning to endure.

my effort is not to judge and cry

but to make just one thing clear,

follow your own heart from inside-

everyone is searching my dear.
